Main strengths
Main trade-offs
01 · Core economics
Card access requires an eligible paid Coinbase One subscription. Carried debt and cash advances have separate interest and fees.
02 · Category rewards
Eligible purchases earn 2% in BTC. Assets on Coinbase (AOC) can raise the standard rate to 2.5%, 3% or 4% on a shared $10,000 of purchases each calendar month, then 2%. Travel-portal purchases have a separate rate below.

Current rate schedule
The card's travel portal pays 5% in BTC on eligible flights, hotels and car rentals. This replaces the standard AOC-based purchase rate and does not use its shared monthly boosted-spend allowance.
Book through the portal and pay with the active card. Unlimited 5% replaces standard rewards and does not consume the boosted-purchase cap.
No travel-portal reward capCashback is credited normally when the purchase posts; delays of up to 30 days or eligibility review may apply in BTC. Merchant coding, programme exclusions, reversals and clawbacks still apply.
Basic annual costs $49.99. Preferred costs $29.99 monthly or $299.99 annually; Premium costs $299.99 monthly or $2,999.99 annually. Basic monthly is not card-eligible. Subscription levels do not determine card reward rates; the AOC bands below do.
03 · Everyday use

04 · Money in and out
Purchases draw a USD credit line. A verified linked U.S. bank account, Coinbase USD Wallet or accepted crypto wallet balance can repay it. Crypto repayment includes a variable spread. These repayments are not card top-ups or exchange deposit rails.
Purchases use a First Electronic Bank USD credit line. Coinbase holds BTC rewards and optional USDC collateral separately from purchase funding.
No separate card-balance payout or exchange transfer rail is established. The optional secured offer locks $200-$5,000 in USDC. On closure, collateral may be sold to settle debt; surplus release has separate bank and Coinbase processing phases.
05 · Credit & yield
Some yield positions can also be part of card credit or borrow-against-collateral mechanics. Treat this differently from a simple spendable balance.
