ether.fi adds capped Category Cashback to selected subscriptions
Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP can choose one eligible subscription category for an additional 10%, 20% or 30% back, capped at $10, $20 or $30 a month. The bonus covers named services, not every purchase in a broad category.

The bonus is narrower than the category name
- Core has no Category Cashback. Eligible Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP members choose a category in the app and can change it once every 30 days.
- Only named direct-billed subscriptions qualify. Food includes memberships such as Uber One, not restaurant orders generally; app-store-billed or bundled subscriptions are excluded.
- The $10, $20 or $30 tier cap is one total monthly Category Cashback limit, not a cap for each service. Further eligible purchases earn base cashback only.
- Card cashback is paid in ETHFI. It becomes claimable after a seven-day hold, and at least $5 of claimable cashback is needed for a manual claim.

How the selected-category bonus works
Luxe earns 10% up to $10 a month, Pinnacle 20% up to $20 and VIP 30% up to $30 on eligible subscriptions in the category chosen in the app. Core does not receive this bonus. The cap is shared across eligible subscriptions for the month; changing category does not reset it.
The eligible-services list differs by tier and can change. The provider lists services such as ChatGPT, Netflix and Uber One, but the subscription must be billed directly and appear in the selected category. Ordinary food or travel purchases do not qualify just because the category has that name.
Separate from the ordinary card-spend ladder
The new bonus sits on top of ether.fi's ordinary card cashback. Core, Luxe and Pinnacle start at 3% on different monthly spend bands; VIP starts at 4% on its first $50,000. USD and EUR purchases share one monthly counter, but EUR purchases have different band thresholds and a lower rate after the second band.
Eligible cashback is converted into ETHFI when the purchase clears, held for seven days and claimed from the Cashback page once the claimable balance reaches $5. The token's value can move between earning and use.
