The waiver covers KAST's fee, not every conversion cost

  • Complete KYC and pay with the KAST Card in ARS, BOB, BRL, CLP, COP, CRC, DOP, GTQ, HNL, MXN, NIO, PAB, PEN, PYG, UYU or VES.
  • The fee waiver is automatic. No opt-in or reward claim is required.
  • Transfers, remittances, virtual-asset purchases, gambling, refunds, reversals, cancelled payments, declined payments and failed transactions do not qualify.
  • The card network's conversion rate or embedded margin, dynamic currency conversion and merchant, acquirer, network or other third-party charges remain outside the waiver.

What KAST is waiving

For an eligible purchase billed in one of the 16 listed currencies, KAST says its own foreign-exchange fee is not charged. This is applied automatically at payment rather than returned later as cashback.

The covered currencies are the Argentine peso, Bolivian boliviano, Brazilian real, Chilean peso, Colombian peso, Costa Rican colón, Dominican peso, Guatemalan quetzal, Honduran lempira, Mexican peso, Nicaraguan córdoba, Panamanian balboa, Peruvian sol, Paraguayan guaraní, Uruguayan peso and Venezuelan bolívar.

Costs that can still appear

A 0% KAST FX fee does not guarantee the mid-market rate. The network's wholesale conversion rate can include a margin, and a merchant or terminal can offer dynamic currency conversion with its own rate.

Charges from a merchant, acquirer, card network or another provider are also outside the campaign. Paying in the local covered currency avoids accepting a merchant's optional conversion into another billing currency.

Timing and eligible activity

KAST lists the campaign as active through December 31, 2027. Its page contains inconsistent historical start-date references, so the current active status and scheduled end are the reliable timing points used here.

Only completed eligible card purchases count. Money transfers, remittances, virtual-asset purchases and gambling transactions are excluded, as are refunds, reversals and unsuccessful payments.
